This is the year of food and farming, a nationwide initiative
aimed at school children to help them get first hand
experience of growing, cooking and eating healthy local food.

Members Open Day at Lower Roundhurst Farm near Haslemere -
Saturday 10th May
10am to 4pm
Moya, Richard and Ceri are hosting a launch party and open
day for Members to visit the farm and taste their range of
delicious, locally grown and organic range of produce and to
introduce their new free membership scheme. Lower
Roundhurst Farm is a family run organic farm on the lower
slopes of Blackburn near Haslemere. "Friends of
Lower Roundhurst Farm" will have regular
opportunities to learn all about the advantage of organic
farming through visits to the farm, regular newsletters,

New: Farm Shop at Bourne Valley Garden Centre near
Addlestone
Recently opened, this farm shop sells fresh, seasonal
and locally grown fruit and vegetables. Fresh bread is
delivered daily and there is a delicious range of local
cheeses and free range eggs. They also stock a large range of
traditional grocery products from independent suppliers. So
why not pay a visit?...

New: Tanhouse Farm Shop just south of Newdigate near
Dorking
Julie and Norman Day first started selling their farm
produce from the door and such was the demand that they
decided to open their own shop in a beautifully converted
barn. Tanhouse stock their own farm reared meat and vegetables
and other local produce with no additives or
preservatives. As well as being able to see the animals
grazing happily in the fields, visitors will be able to stop
for a bite to eat at the glorious teashop. On offer are
delicious home made lunches, tea, coffee, and home made soups.
